To select summaries for a column in the grid bar data the Sigma symbol next to the Column name has to be pressed.
When the Sigma symbol is pressed a Select Summaries window appears. From this window it is possible to select various Summary calculations that can be performed on the grid data and the columns that these Summary calculations apply on.
Clicking the "OK" or "Apply" button generates summary statistics which are displayed at the bottom of the screen. Clicking the "Cancel" button will not cause any summaries to be generated.
