This connection error occurs when PlantVantage cannot reach the server address specified in the master server text area in user options item in the User Options item in the side bar. The error causes a login screen to appear.
A message like the following at the bottom of the login screen reports the error. Either the cancel button on the login screen has to be pressed and a different server address has to be specified, or network connectivity issues must be resolved for a successful connection with a server.
